AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty (DAS-C01)
About Course
The AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty (DAS-C01) certification is intended for professionals who perform in-depth data analysis. The certification validates your ability to design, build, secure, and maintain analytics solutions on AWS that are efficient, cost-effective, and secure.
As of my knowledge cutoff in September 2021, the exam covers five domains:
- Collection (17%): Covers knowledge of identifying, ingesting, and transferring data to AWS, the processing of data on the AWS platform, and understanding the operational characteristics of the collection systems.
- Storage (17%): Knowledge of design and implementation of storage solutions for analytics, and understanding the operational characteristics of storage solutions.
- Processing (17%): Skills related to designing and implementing processing and transformation solutions for data analytics, and understanding the operational characteristics of processing and transformation solutions.
- Analysis and Visualization (29%): Understanding how to design and implement analytics and visualization solutions, as well as understanding the operational characteristics of analysis and visualization tools.
- Security (20%): Knowledge of securing data analytics solutions and compliance with the architecture.
AWS recommends that candidates have a background in defining and architecting AWS Data Analytics services and a basic understanding of data analytics concepts. They should have at least five years of experience in data analytics and a background in defining and architecting AWS Data Analytics services.
The certification process involves a multiple-choice, multiple-answer exam, which can be taken at a testing center or as an online proctored exam.
